This training is designed for experienced safeguarding leads within a church or Christian organisation. It serves as a refresher course, recommended every two years, to ensure ongoing competence, confidence, and compliance with current safeguarding expectations.

This course is intended for staff or volunteers with lead responsibility for safeguarding within their church or organisation.
It is fully compliant with:
Working Together to Safeguard Children (current version)
Local Safeguarding Children’s Partnership procedures
National guidance for schools and Early Years settings
A certificate referencing national guidance will be issued upon completion.
The programme revisits and strengthens the core responsibilities of a Safeguarding Lead from a biblical perspective and within an evangelical framework. Key areas include:
Understanding safeguarding and abuse
Responding appropriately to concerns or allegations
Supporting staff and volunteers in their safeguarding duties
Working confidently and competently with statutory services
The importance of effective systems
The importance of culture in safeguarding practice
Managing concerns, referrals, and ongoing cases
The course is interactive, using a variety of approaches to reinforce learning and practical application.
