“CSS are tipping the whole thing upside down, who have upped the game so far as service to churches is concerned, we wonder what we have been doing for so long without this. We look back and think, why weren’t we told this before because we could have done so much better in the past.” Manchester Church
"The session was incredibly useful - informative and practical training for working out how to ensure good practice in a church context. Paul was engaging, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. Such a useful two hours and I cannot recommend highly enough that all DSLs in a church context attend. An absolute bargain too!" Naomi - London Church
"Really pleased to be working with you. Huge thanks for all you represent and continue to do." York DSL
"Yesterday was really helpful, the feedback I've had from the other leaders said the same. I don't think they all realised everything involved and included under the Safeguarding banner. Thanks again for coming, the training is well put together." Coventry Church
"I thoroughly enjoyed Sue's training on Saturday. Not sure many people say that about safeguarding training! I found the online work and then the face to face session really helpful, informative and practical. I have come away with some practical things to look at in regard to our systems and also I feel more equipped to support my DSL." Norwich Church
"I have found the online DBS application system to be very straightforward and efficient. It's particularly helpful being permitted to validate applicants' ID via Zoom which speeds up the process enormously! On average, I have received notification of the outcome within 36 hours of submission. Rachel UFM"
"I have been really surprised at how quick and easy it has been to get all our volunteers DBS checked. I keep thinking I've missed something as it can't be that easy!" DSL Manchester Church
"Thanks so much for all your help and answers to silly questions 🙂"
"The system is great. I have previously used the platform from another provider and this is a big improvement. Setting up the applications is simple and the applicants get a straightforward journey through the process, which means people have been quick to get the form filled in and I have had to do much less chasing. The ID checking screen isn't the best layout, but it's straightforward enough to use once you have worked out what's where. Getting an email when the checks come back is a huge help. The assistance we have had from CSS in getting set up has been top notch - quick, professional and friendly." Salford Church
"I was given excellent, friendly service. Even though it was a weekend when I contacted CSS, I was able to speak to someone the same day, and the advice was helpful, practical and specific to our needs"
"I thought Paul was really helpful, particularly in giving the biblical perspective. A good overview. It was helpful and great to have everything from a Christian perspective". Derby Church
"We always thought local authorities were like “big brother”. You’ve helped us to understand why we need to have all these measures in place, never realised we needed risk assessments doing." London Charity
"You never compromised biblical truth, even when the subject matter was difficult and sensitive. Thank you!" Church in Scotland
"I’ve spent my career in social care, you explained the safeguarding spectrum in such a way that made so much sense for a church. You start where churches are at!" Welsh church
"I thought the session was really good. It was so helpful to approach safeguarding from a biblical perspective. It felt very different from school safeguarding sessions but in a good way. I thought it was good that Paul took time over explaining the spectrum of safeguarding and what that might look like in the context of the local church." Swindon Church Primary School teacher
"Thank you for all time you’ve spent talking us through our issue. We have felt supported all the way through a difficult process." Teeside church
"Effective, diligent, knowledgable and adaptable" International Charity
