Essential Awareness in Safeguarding Delivered digitally

Training for all staff and volunteers who are involved with “frontline” delivery of Sunday Schools, out of school clubs, youth work or ministry to vulnerable groups. The training for staff and volunteers consists of:

A) one e-learning module to be completed in the delegates own time, they can dip in and out of the e-course, followed by

B) an interactive zoom session allowing for case scenario discussion to embed the learning.

The course covers everything staff and volunteers need to know in order for them to perform in their role in church.

The training is fully compliant with current government legislation and guidance, whilst maintaining a biblical focus.

Included in the session

  • Signs and indicators of abuse
  • Definitions of the categories of abuse
  • When things concern you, what do you do?
  • Recording and reporting harm to a child/young person/adult at risk
  • Responsible reporting (whistleblowing)
  • Barriers to reporting concerns
  • Supporting a healthy culture in church
  • The Safeguarding Spectrum and thresholds for services

Duration 3 hours

Cost per seat booked on Eventbrite £32.50

Cost as a whole church £600 for up to 25 people and includes the e-learning licences when delivered on line via zoom ( for more people over 25 there is a per head excess cost)

Safeguarding Lead Coordinator Trainingdelivered digitally

The Safeguarding Lead Coordinator is the person who has the lead for safeguarding in the church or organisation. This training sits at the operational level.

The training consists of

A) an e-learning module followed by

B) an interactive zoom session allowing for case scenario discussion and an overview of the role and responsibilities of the Safeguarding Lead Coordinator.  

This course covers everything a Safeguarding Lead Coordinator needs to know to be able to meet the expectations of role.

We run these sessions on a monthly basis and dates can be found towards the bottom of our home page.
This course covers the responsibilities of the safeguarding lead from a biblical perspective and an evangelical frame of reference. It addresses all of the key areas that the designated person needs to understand, including

  • understanding safeguarding and abuse,
  • responding appropriately to disclosures, concerns and allegations of abuse,
  • supporting staff and volunteers in the discharge of their duties,
  • working confidently and competently with local statutory services,
  • the importance of effective systems,
  • the importance of culture managing concerns and referrals etc.

The course is interactive and uses a variety of approaches.

Leadership, Oversight and Strategic Management of Safeguardingdelivered digitally

This training supports church and charity trustees with their safeguarding legal duties and responsibilities around governance.

We introduce you to the six pillars of effective safeguarding practice 

This training event is for Church Leaders, Church Officers & Trustees to support Churches and faith based charities, to achieve best practice in safeguarding in a biblically faithful way, covering:  

  • Effective policies, procedures and systems
  • Developing a healthy and protective culture
  • Effective staff and volunteer recruitment
  • Developing confidence and competence
  • Effective auditing of systems and processes
  • Ensuring effective accountability for all
  • Integration of all of the above elements to create a healthy culture & a safe environment
