Registration for DBS Checking

Registration and setting up your DBS portal.

N.B Your DBS portal with have a different and separate login to the CSS website.

If you have a paid membership with us the set up costs for DBS registration and the use of the portal is now contained within your membership package.

Our template policy contains all you need to comply with DBS legislation

Please complete the form below to register for DBS checks. You need all the following in place.

✔️ You need to have a safeguarding policy

✔️ You need to have a policy on working with Ex-Offenders or have something in your policy around this

✔️ You’ll need a policy or something contained in your policy on the storage, handling, use, retention and disposal of DBS data (DBS certificate information)

CSS is not liable for an incorrect level of check selected by the administrator or the ID verifier at initial set up. There is a DBS eligibility checker tool here, the check is the same for an employee or a volunteer.

I understand that digital ID checks are an optional extra at £5.40 each. I also understand that we will be charged £5.40 for each digital ID fail (please make your applicants aware of the need to ensure their ID information matches the details in the DBS application form ) *

CSS is not responsible for any errors that are made during administration by the customer and CSS will pass on any charge to the church in rectifying an error. This includes incorrect role descriptions and volunteers/paid workers at your inital set up of applicants. You are charged for returned DBS's where there are errors on the application form. *
