Train the Trainer
This “Train the Trainer” programme is for any church or faith-based organisation preferring to have safeguarding delivered ‘in-house’ by someone in your organisation.
This is a unique package of support to churches and faith-based organisations.
If you have someone in your own church who is capable of presenting to an audience, but they may need some additional coaching or support to be able to deliver training, then this package could be ideal for you. You may have someone who has experience in safeguarding or maybe they are already working in statutory services. Again, this could be is a perfect solution.
Christian Safeguarding Services will have the responsibility for the production of all the materials needed for your trainer. Including all of the current and up to date PowerPoint slides, the handouts and the resources and videos. We will then train coach and mentor your own trainer with our materials to be used for delivery within your own church only. The materials will also be updated and sent out automatically to your trainer every time there is a change in legislation or guidance
This is also a cost-effective way of training all your church volunteers. Your trainer will receive regular ongoing support coaching and mentoring for as long as they need. They also will be able to deliver to your church on as many occasions as is needed at no extra cost.
** The churches licence is renewable every 12 months, and your church must have a paid gold membership with Christian Safeguarding Services
The costing of this package is £300.00 and includes
- Training included in your 1st year’s subscription of £150.00. ( 2 hour zoom training)
- Current and up to date Slide deck
- Resources
- Ongoing mentoring support
- Regular updates
- Trainer agreement
- Annual licence subscription £150.00 (renewed yearly)
- You have the option of another trainer trained at £150.00 no need for a 2nd licence)
Trained trainers will also be given the opportunity of joining CSS’s UK network of trainers to deliver on a freelance sessional basis for CSS.

We have an eLearning module (Part ONE) that helps set out all the basics around safeguarding. Learners can access this at their leisure; they do need to access a follow up (Part TWO) interactive session which is the session your trainer will deliver. The elearning is accessed via our website and trainers can add their volunteers to the elearning and monitor progress and completions.
We will be reviewing the costs for Train the Trainer to make this package more equitable between larger and smaller churches. Prices will be displayed soon
